Monozukuri Center Switching virtually all electricity to renewable energy sources

We are pleased to announce that we have decided to switch the electricity used at our Monozukuri Center (Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture), one of our company’s bases, to electricity derived substantially from renewable energy sources, effective March 8, 2022.

Based on our corporate philosophy of “contributing to the urban landscape and environment by creating beautiful facades that will be handed down to future generations,” we aim to contribute to a sustainable society through our business activities.
As part of this effort, we have decided to switch the electricity used at the Monozukuri Center to electricity derived from virtually renewable energy sources based on the environmental value of non-fossil certificates with tracking starting on March 8, 2022.

The introduction of this system is expected to reduce annual greenhouse gas emissions by 46.5 tons in terms of CO₂ (equivalent to 1,053 cedar trees, based on FY2020 results).
