Since our establishment in 1990, we have built a unique position in the field of façade engineering, starting with GRC. We continue to create new value for the cityscape by flexibly adapting to complex designs and structures and giving shape to our clients' ideals, without being bound by the framework of architecture.
I have been with this company since its inception and have been involved in numerous projects centered on design. Through this experience, I have learned that the demands of architecture continue to change with the times, and that it is important to always pursue the essence of “monodukuri” while flexibly responding to these changes.
We will continue to create buildings that enrich the cityscape together with everyone involved, always remembering our “challenge” and “commitment”.

Company History

1973
Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (now AGC) introduced GRC manufacturing technology from Pilkington Brothers Ltd. (UK) and launched its GRC business.
1990
Established Asahi Glass Building Wall East Japan Co., Ltd. (predecessor of Asahi Building Wall Co., Ltd.) as a manufacturer and contractor of GRC products.
1997
Integrated four GRC-related subsidiaries of Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. and changed the company name to Asahi Glass Building Wall Co., Ltd.
2001
Launched environmentally conscious businesses, including soundproofing, wind noise reduction, and building-integrated solar systems.
2002
Following the reorganization of affiliated subsidiaries, the shareholder changed from Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. to Asahi Fiber Glass Co., Ltd.
2004
Started the facade engineering business, expanding the scope from material-based approaches to comprehensive building envelope solutions.
2007
Following the transfer of shares of Asahi Fiber Glass Co., Ltd. by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd., the company left the Asahi Glass Group and changed its name to Asahi Building Wall Co., Ltd.
2010
Launched the glass engineering business.
2011
Relocated the head office to Inaricho, Taito-ku, Tokyo.
2016
Established the Technical Division, including the Product Development Department and Structural Analysis Department, strengthening the technical framework.
2017
Established the corporate philosophy system.
2020
Opened the “Monozukuri Center” in Kazo City, Saitama Prefecture, as a technical hub for facade engineering.
2020
Marked the 30th anniversary and renewed the corporate logo and website.
2021
Completed a mock-up facility at the Monozukuri Center (Kazo City, Saitama) for facade performance verification.
2024
Relocated the West Japan Branch to Miyahara, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka.
2025
Expanded the head office and enhanced the office environment.
