We renewed our work uniforms with the aim of enhancing a sense of unity within the company and providing a more functional and comfortable work environment. In introducing the new uniforms, we carefully considered how to dispose of our previously used uniforms. As the importance of the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, and recycle) has been increasing in recent years to realize a sustainable society, we sought ways to contribute to reducing our environmental impact and decided to use the uniforms from the perspective of “reuse” rather than simply disposing of them.
As a part of this effort, we donated our no-longer-needed uniforms to “Second Life. Second Life is an organization that takes clothing and other goods donated by companies and individuals and distributes them to people in need in Japan and abroad. Through this initiative, we hope that uniforms that would otherwise be discarded will gain new value and lead to the effective use of resources.
Corporate activities involve the use of a variety of resources in the course of daily operations and a certain amount of environmental impact. However, each of us can contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by reducing waste through “thinking about the destination of used products. This donation is one of the first steps we have taken as part of the efforts we can make.
As a member of the construction industry, AGB considers it our mission to contribute to society while reducing our environmental impact. We will continue to spread the “culture of valuing things” through our business activities and promote various initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable society.
