AGB has now developed products for fire protection equipment and specific fire protection equipment using chemically strengthened glass.
Conventional products were available in screened glass and heat-resistant tempered glass specifications. The netted glass had the issue of reduced transparency and design due to the mesh, while the heat-resistant tempered glass had the issues of optical distortion, warping, and spontaneous breakage.
Products made with our chemically strengthened glass have high transparency and design quality because there is no netting, and because the manufacturing process is chemically strengthened, which is different from air cooling (physical) strengthening, there is no optical distortion, no warpage, and no spontaneous breakage.
Fire Barrier 60” is an individually certified product for specific fire prevention equipment that has passed a 60-minute heating test using a steel frame, while ‘Fire Barrier 20’ is an individually certified product for fire prevention equipment that has passed a 20-minute heating test using an aluminum frame.
Since both “Fire Barrier 60” and “Fire Barrier 20” must be installed according to the certified specifications, we and our certified companies will sell them as a complete set of materials and workmanship.
In addition to the already marketed “Burning Shield,” a glass one-hour fireproof partition wall, we are now able to expand the possibilities of glass in fire protection facilities.
Details of each product are available in the product-specific brochures, and we hope you will consider adopting them in your planned projects.
