Notice of Change of Representative Director, President and Chief Executive Officer

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Etsuo Kondo (former Director and Managing Executive Officer) as President and Representative Director, and Masayuki Sakurai (former President and Representative Director) as Chairman of the Board.

Since its founding, Asahi Building-Wall Corporation, which celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2025, has deepened its knowledge of all kinds of building exterior materials while dealing with GRC (glass fiber reinforced cement), a material that is difficult to control and evaluate in terms of quality.
The building exterior, also called “façade,” is derived from the French word façade (English face), and in Japanese is recognized as the “face of the building.
We have been meeting diverse needs in terms of building purpose, urban characteristics, and social public interest by utilizing our engineering and material capabilities, and have now gained recognition as a special façade engineering company.

Etsuo Kondo, who will assume the position of President and CEO, joined the company in 1990, the year the company was founded, as one of its first employees. From the time he joined the company, he has accumulated experience in a variety of positions related to building exteriors, including production design and sales. In particular, he has focused his career on design work, analyzing complex 3D-shaped composite panels, producing manufacturing and construction drawings, and providing construction guidance, even before the widespread use of CAD as we know it today.
He has led the growth of the facade engineering business through his “don’t let it end up in the drawing” attitude and the way he has realized highly challenging facades, serving as General Manager of the Facade Engineering Division in 2016, Director and Executive Officer in 2017, and Director and Managing Executive Officer in 2021, In order to further enhance our corporate value, we are pleased to announce his decision to assume the position of Representative Director, President and Chief Executive Officer.
