Company History

1973
Asahi Glass (currently AGC) introduces GRC manufacturing technology from Pilkington Brothers in the UK, and establishes its GRC division.
1990
Asahi Glass Building Wall (East Japan) Co. Ltd., predecessor to AGB, is established as a GRC manufacturing and installation firm.
1997
Company name is changed to Asahi Glass Building-Wall Co.,Ltd.
1999
Optic Fibre Lighting and Solar Light Optical Condensing Transmission System "Himawari" is transferred from Asahi Glass' Electronics division.
2001
AGB ventures into the environment-related businesses, including the noise prevention and integrated solar system businesses.
2002
The owner changes from Asahi Glass to Asahi Fiber Glass Co. Ltd.
2004
The façade engineering division is set up to provide one stop services for façade without regard to the material involved.
2007
Company name is changed to Asahi Building-Wall Co., Ltd.
2010
The glass engineering division specialising in sophisticated glass materials is set up.
2011
Company headquarters are moved to Inaricho in Taito district due to expansion
